When I was 20 years old, my girlfriend of 3 years broke up with me. It killed me. I felt like a husk of a man. I had no desire to eat, I couldn’t sleep, and all I could think about was how to get back with my ex girlfriend.
At the time, I had no idea how to get over a breakup. It was impossible for me to concede that any thing to do with the breakup had been my fault, and by condemning my ex for the whole thing, I ruined any chance of winning her back.
Take this opportunity to learn from my error. Rebuilding your relationship with your ex begins with you accepting responsibility for the part you played in the breakup. Man up and admit where you messed up, and take the steps necessary to prove to your ex that you are worthy of her. If you’re not willing to do that, getting back with your ex clearly isn’t as dear to you as you act like it is.
